Shanequa Dasher 
Creative Expression Director 

Shanequa Dasher brings her unique and dashing creativity to the AOC!

Her expertise include, curriculum and instruction for grades K-5.  She is a graduate of Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, in addition, she has a Master’s Degree from Walden University in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. She has worked for schools in Atlanta, GA and Tampa, Florida, as an Intervention Specialist, and has taught the following subjects: general education, drama, design, costuming, and creative arts.

Currently, she is the Executive Director of the Youth Movement program in Atlanta, GA, where she organizes school-wide productions for elementary aged students. 

Shanequa is the visionary of Dasher Creations, and spends her time teaching and sharing her love for design, creativity,entrepreneurship, and the arts with students around the world. Her greatest desire is to continue to empower and influence student’s creativity, by encouraging them to dream, think, and grow beyond their current circumstance.

Summer Blackmon
National Service Organizer 

Summer Blackmon brings her vibrant spirit, love of dance, and educational expertise  to the AOC!

Summer is an American Educator who has over 10  years of experience in education. She is currently working at a STEAM Technology School where she has written curriculum to help improve the lives of children. She is a graduate of Mercer University, where she earned a Master of Arts in Teaching. In addition, she has a  Bachelor of Arts in International Business from Georgia State University.

As the founder of ProjectLEARNCAM, she consistently blogs about educational experiences in an effort to connect communities of young learners from all over the world! She is  a lover of the arts, who desires to enrich the lives of youth, both home and abroad, through artistic and culturally rich experiences!

LéJon April
International Service Organizer 

Le’Jon April (LA) brings her dramatic leadership skills, international experience, and heart for organizing outreach projects to the AOC.  

She is an International Educator, whose experience includes the United States, United Arab Emirates, and Africa. She has over 13 years of experience in the classroom teaching grades K-5, Science, Social Studies, Library, and Drama. She has a Specialist Degree in Leadership Administration from Cambridge College and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Oglethorpe University and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Clark Atlanta University. LA is very passionate about working with children and helping them to reach their highest potential. Her goal is to provide as many educational and performing arts opportunities to children in underprivileged communities around the world as possible.
